New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter has been married to Hannah Jeter since 2016, and the couple are proud parents to four children. Jeter was a nightmare for pitchers on the field while he strived to be a perfect husband and father off it.
In September 2023, the couple appeared for an exclusive interview with E! News's Francesca Amiker. During the interaction, the host asked the couple how they find time for each other while raising four kids.
Jeter mentioned that while it's important to take time for each other, it's also important to have time for yourself.
"We are no relationship experts here, like we're not the go-to couple for a perfect marriage, like no, there's no perfect marriages," Jeter said. "I would say you know, yeah, you take time with each other, but at the same time, you also have to take time for yourself." [6:28: 7:00].
"I think that's important how do you say every day I would get up and I would go get coffee and drive around by myself, which has completely been eliminated now because she's finagled her way into the car with at least two of the kids, so now my time for myself is gone, but I think you just have to continue to have fun."
He added that, at the end of the day, you need to have fun with friends and family.
"I mean you have fun with each other. You have fun with family. You have fun with friends," Jeter added.
