Alex Michael Caruso, nicknamed "Bald Mamba" and "Carushow," is an American professional basketball player. He is currently signed with the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Born February 28, 1994, in College Station, Texas, U.S, Caruso attended A&M Consolidated High School. He was named TABC All-Regional, All-State as well as TABC All-Star and district MVP after leading his team to the postseason as a senior.
Caruso played college basketball for the Texas A&M Aggies, averaging 8.0 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.0 steals per game He finished as the college’s all-time leader in assists (649) and steals (276) over four seasons.
After going undrafted in 2016, Caruso joined the LA Lakers for the 2017 Summer League. He propelled the Lakers to a victory in the 2017 Summer League Championship in Las Vegas. After two impressive seasons, he signed a two-year contract with the Lakers worth $5.5 million on July 6, 2019, and won arguably his biggest coup in the game, the NBA championship in 2020.
After becoming an unrestricted free agent post that season, Caruso signed with the Bulls in a four-year deal worth $37 million on August 10, 2021.
