Cade Cunningham is one of the most talented young point guards currently playing in the NBA with seemingly limitless potential. Being one of only three first-overall picks in Detroit Pistons history, the Arlington native has thus far been very successful in living up to expectations.

A product of the Montverde Academy, Cade Cunningham was one of the best basketball athletes to join Montverde and continued to get better throughout his junior and senior seasons. After finishing his final season, Cunningham received the honor of Mr. Basketball USA, MaxPreps National Player of the Year, Naismith Prep Player of the Year, and was selected to compete in the Jordan Brand Classic and McDonald’s All-American Game.

For college, Cunningham decided to attend Oklahoma State, where he continued to impress NBA scouts, averaging 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.6 steals a game on 43.8% shooting.

By the end of his first season, Cunningham made history by becoming one of only four players to win the Big 12 Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year award and earned selection for the 2020-21 All-Big 12 first team and All-Freshman team.

Cade Cunningham Height

Standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, Cunningham is taller than the average point guard in the NBA and has great athleticism, handles and playmaking skills. Taller point guards tend to finish at the rim more often and carry a decent shooting advantage against other smaller point guards and even shooting guards for that matter.

Cade Cunningham Weight

Cunningham weighs around 99 kg or 220 pounds. He carries an athletic body frame which has played a crucial role in his on-court abilities such as ball handling, shooting accuracy and finishing at the rim. Cunningham’s body is well-conditioned for playing longer minutes which is another example of why professional athletes prioritize maintaining a healthy body weight.

Cade Cunningham Wingspan

Cunningham has a wingspan measurement of about seven feet and thus, has some of the widest arms in his position. For guards and small forwards, having a larger wingspan allows them to be exceptional perimeter defenders, good rebounders and even average rim protectors.

With only two seasons under his belt, Cade Cunningham has a lot left to achieve in his possibly long career as his potential as an athlete will only grow with each passing season.

In the 2022/23 season, Cunningham averaged 19.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.
