Canada is set to take on France on Friday as part of each team's preparations ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. They are two of the best nations in the upcoming tournament just behind Team USA. Both are looking to gain some momentum ahead of the group-stage games.
Les Blues have already played four exhibition games before Friday's matchup against the likes of NBA stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jamal Murray. They won the first two against Turkey and Germany but lost the next two to Germany in a rematch and against Serbia.
On the other hand, Team Canada has had only one exhibition game so far. It was a loss to Team USA in Las Vegas on July 10. They have two more games before the Olympics – Friday's showdown with France and against Puerto Rico on Sunday in Orleans, France.

Canada vs. France Rosters
Team Canada roster
Team Canada has a formidable roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics led by the likes of OKC Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Denver Nuggets' Jamal Murray. They are two of the best guards in the NBA today, with "SGA" finishing second in MVP voting behind Nikola Jokic.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team is composed mainly of NBA role players who know what they need to do such as Kelly Olynyk, RJ Barrett, Luguentz Dort, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Dillon Brooks. 10 of the 12 players on the roster are currently in the league and all 12 have NBA experience.
France roster
Les Bleus doesn't have a lot of NBA talent on their roster but they have Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert in the middle. "Wemby" is quite possibly the most intriguing player in this year's Olympics, while Gobert should be more effective under FIBA rules basketball.
Nicolas Batum and Evan Fournier are expected to guide the new generation of French players in this year's Olympics. It's Wemby's team now and France will look to make everything count and possibly prepare themselves to win gold in front of their home fans.
Canada vs. France Prediction
France is favored to beat Canada on Friday, possibly due to having homecourt advantage. They have also had plenty of playing time over the past two weeks, while Team Canada has only suited up for one game.
Prediction: The game should be close before France pulls away late in the fourth quarter for the win.
