When a young, fresh-faced 20-year-old DeAndre Jordan entered the NBA in 2008, even he couldn’t have imagined the level of success and fame he would eventually earn and become one of the greats to grace the NBA courts.
Born on July 21, 1988, DJ’s basketball journey began at Episcopal High School, where he demonstrated his elite defensive and rim protection skills. Coming out of high school, Jordan was among the top-rated prospects of his class and attracted offers from the likes of Kentucky, Florida, Texas A&M, LSU, and Florida State, among others.
After playing one year for the Texas A&M Aggies, Jordan declared for the 2008 NBA Draft where he was picked 35th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers. Now in his 16th NBA season, the one-time All-Star has played for seven NBA teams till date, and is currently on a one-year $3.1 million deal with the Denver Nuggets.
