Early Career

Dillon initially attended Father Henry Carr Secondary School in Toronto, Ontario, and later transferred to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada. After passing out from high school, he chose to enrol at the University of Oregon to play basketball at the college level.

Dillon Brooks began his college career in 2014 when he joined the Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team. Thereafter, he actively participated in basketball games and scored a point average of 11.5 points in his first year. Dillon led his college team to the Pac-12 Conference regular season title in his sophomore season. At the end of the 2016-17 season, Dillon left his college and declared for the 2017 NBA draft.

NBA Career

Dillon Brooks started out his NBA career in 2017 when the Houston Rockets selected him in the NBA draft. However, shortly after the selection, this group traded him to the Memphis Grizzlies which was the real start of his professional career. Dillon signed a rookie scale contract with the Memphis Grizzlies on July 21. He continued to play with this team and scored a career-high 36 points on April 11, 2018.

Dillon suffered from a ruptured ligament in his right big toe in January 2019. This injury required surgery which was undergone on January 11. This caused him to miss the remaining 2018-19 season. After the recovery, he again joined the team and extended his contract for three with the same franchise on February 5, 2020. This agreement was worth $35 million. Dillon played with this team until 2023 and his overall experience with this group was great.

At present, Dillon plays for the Houston Rockets. He joined this NBA group on July 8, 2023, as a part of a sign-and-trade agreement. Some reports declare that Dillon is signed with this team on the basis of a four-yr deal that has assured him a complete revenue of $80 million. He is now having a good time with this group, continuously leading them to basketball matches.
