Canadian basketball sensation, Dillon Brooks, is a basketball player from Canada. Born on January 22, 1996, he started out his basketball journey at his high school Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School. He then decided to attend the University of Oregon and currently plays for the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association.

Dillon primarily plays as a small forward and a shooting guard. His NBA journey began when he was selected in the 2017 NBA draft, and since then, he has made significant contributions, first for the Memphis Grizzlies and later for the Houston Rockets.

College Career

Dillon Brooks’s basketball journey started at the University of Oregon, where he played college basketball with the Oregon Ducks. In his freshman year, he averaged 11.5 points per outing. He spent three years at Oregon University, and over three years there, Brooks averaged 14.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. Brooks led his college team to the Pac-12 Conference regular season title as a sophomore. Dillon Brooks was also honored as the District IX Player of the Year by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).

In his junior year, Brooks suffered from a serious foot injury forcing him to miss a major part of his junior year. After the 2016-17 season, Dillon decided to enroll in the NBA draft.

Professional Career

Dillon Brooks was drafted by the Houston Rockets as the 45th pick in the second round the 2017 NBA draft but was immediately traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. Dillon scored 19 points during his debut match for the Memphis Grizzlies. In the 2022\23 NBA season, Brooks was nominated in the second team All-defense.

Dillon’s basketball journey changed its course in July 2023 when he joined the Houston Rockets via a sign-and-trade agreement. On October 26, Brooks made his Rockets debut and scored 14 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists in a 116–86 loss to the Orlando Magic
