The Canadian basketball star, Dillon Brooks is one of the key players of the Houston Rockets. Brooks was born in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada on January 22, 1996. Although Brooks was raised in Canada, he shifted to the United States to complete his high school in Henderson, Nevada. Brooks attended Findlay Prep in Nevada and then went to the University of Oregon for three years (2014-17). In his three year college career Brooks played a total of 109 games and averaged 14.8 points along with 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 47.2% from the field and 36.2% from the three point range.

Dillon Brooks declared for the 2017 NBA draft and was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the 45th pick from the second round. Although drafted by the Rockets his draft rights were acquired by Memphis Grizzlies. Brooks showed potential from the start of his career averaging 11 points with 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.7 minutes of playtime in his rookie season. Brooks played five seasons for the Grizzlies before being traded away to the Rockets in 2023. Brooks has since helped rebuild the Rockets alongside Alperen Şengün, Fred Vanvleet and Jalen Green. In his 7 year career, as of April 2025, Brooks has played in more than 400 matches and has averaged 14.2 points with 3.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
