Garrett Temple: A Brief Biography
Garrett Bartholomew Temple is an American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA. He played college basketball for Louisiana State University from 2005 to 2009.
As a freshman in 2005-06, In 36 games, he averaged 5.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals in 33.3 minutes per game. In his sophomore year, in 32 games, He averaged 8.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He averaged 6.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game in his junior season. In his, senior year, He averaged 7.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game
On December 25, 2012, Temple signed with the Washington Wizards, On December 21, 2015, he scored a then career-high 23 points in a 113–99 win over the Sacramento Kings.
On July 9, 2016, Temple signed with the Sacramento Kings. On January 23, 2018, Temple scored a career-high 34 points(which included 19 4th quarter points) to help the Kings to a 105–99 win over the Orlando Magic. On July 17, 2018, Temple was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Deyonta Davis, Ben McLemore, a 2021 second-round pick and cash considerations.
