Basketball culture runs deep in Jaquez's veins, a passion passed down through generations. His parents, Angela and Jaime Sr, actually met on the basketball court at Concordia University.
Jaquez's basketball lineage extends beyond his immediate family. He is the third generation from the Jaquez family to grace the college basketball courts. His paternal grandfather, Ezequiel, arrived in California from Mexico as a child, and later played at Ventura Community College and Northern Arizona University.

Contract
On July 1st, 2023, Jaime Jaquez Jr signed a four-year, $16,997,141 rookie scale contract with the Miami Heat. As per the standard rookie deal, the first two years of the contract are guaranteed and the last two years of the contract contain a team option.
