Jalen Marquis Brunson is a basketball player who plays for the New York Knicks in the NBA as of October 2024. He was born on August 31, 1996, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S. He played high school basketball at Stevenson High School. He played college basketball at Villanova University from 2015 to 2018, where he won two NCAA championships and was named the National College Player of the Year in 2018.

Brunson was selected 33rd overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA Draft. For four years, he remained with the Mavericks, serving as the team's sixth man and leading the second unit as a backup point guard. In 2022, he signed a four-year, $104 million contract with the New York Knicks. During the 2023 season, he earned his first All-Star selection and made his name on the All-NBA team. In the 2023-24 NBA regular season, he averaged a career-high 28.7 points per game.
