Born on August 2, 1995, in Liepāja, Latvia, Kristaps Porzingis is a superstar-caliber basketball athlete who plays for the Boston Celtics in the NBA. Porzingis is a product of the European basketball scene and played in the Liga ACB. He represented former Liga ACB champions Real Betis for four seasons before breaking through into the NBA in 2015.
Porzingis began his NBA career with the New York Knicks and averaged 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game in his rookie season. He got even better in his second season with the Knicks as he put up 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks a game.
