
Neemias Queta is a Portuguese basketball backup center for the Boston Celtics in the 2025 NBA season. He is the first Portuguese player to play in the NBA and win a championship. Born in Lisbon to Bissau-Guinean parents, Quetta started playing youth basketball with the Portuguese basketball club Barreirense at the age of 10, where his talent was noted by American scouts, who brought him to the USA to play collegiate basketball for the Utah State Aggies.
