Neemias Queta is a Portuguese professional basketball player playing as a backup center for the Boston Celtics as of 2024. Standing at 7 feet tall, Queta was selected 39th overall in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. He became the first Portuguese player to compete in the NBA on December 17, 2021, when he took the court in a Kings jersey. Over his two seasons with the Kings, Queta appeared in just 20 games. However, Queta made significant strides with the Stockton Kings in the G League. In the 2022-23 NBA G League season, Neemias Queta averaged 19.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game on an amazing 69.2% shooting, earning spots on both the All-NBA G League First Team and the NBA G League All-Defensive Team.

In the 2023 off-season, Neemias Queta joined the Boston Celtics where he mainly operated as a backup center behind Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford. During the 2023-24 NBA season, Quetta played 28 games off the bench for the Celtics, averaging 5.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game on 64.4% shooting from the field. On April 15, 2024, he reached the NBA G League Finals with the Maine Celtics but finished as runner-up to the Oklahoma City Blue. Later, on May 7, 2024, he made his NBA playoff debut, recording 2 points and 2 rebounds in under 3 minutes in a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Queta capped off the 2023/24 NBA season by contributing as a reserve player in the Boston Celtics’ historic 18th NBA championship.
