Jalen Brunson had an injury scare in Sunday's game between the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks. Brunson seemingly suffered a right shoulder injury and exited the third quarter before returning shortly. Fans theorized that the Knicks star might have faked his injury to watch his Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs.

According to ESPN's Tim Bontemps, Brunson was subbed out in the third quarter and immediately went to the locker room. It was determined that he suffered a right shoulder injury after diving for the ball. There was concern among fans since the All-Star guard was having a fantastic season for New York.

After holding their breaths for a good amount of time, Brunson marched back to the Knicks bench minutes later and returned to the game. The fans inside Madison Square Garden gave him a standing ovation, with Brunson finishing with 44 points in 29 minutes.

Following the injury scare, several fans on X (formerly Twitter) thought that Jalen Brunson faked his injury. They joked that he just wanted to see the start of the Philadelphia Eagles' Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers.

"Convincing myself that Jalen Brunson is faking an injury so he can go watch the Eagles game. I don't want to consider the alternative," a fan page tweeted.
"Brunson really went to go check on the Eagle game," one fan joked.
"Brunson just wanted to catch that Eagles opening drive and saw Jordan Love nearly throw a pick on his first pass and decided it was safe to come back in. He not slick," another fan claimed.

Jalen Brunson was born and raised in South New Jersey, which is an area filled with Philadelphia Eagles fans. Brunson has repped the Eagles multiple times despite the outrage from New Yorkers.

"Feel like Brunson wanted to catch the Eagles first drive," a fan wrote.
"Brunson isn't hurt. He actually just knew it was 4:30 and has an Eagles game to watch," one fan quipped.
So Brunson went into the locker room to watch the Eagles?" another fan asked.

Luckily for Brunson, the Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers 22-10 to advance to the divisional round. They will face the winner between the Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite his scoring being down this season following the arrival of Karl-Anthony Towns, Jalen Brunson has embraced his role for the New York Knicks. Brunson has turned into a playmaker but still knows when to turn it on and take over the game.

That's what he did on Sunday as the Knicks bombarded the Milwaukee Bucks out of the building 140-106. Brunson finished with 44 points, five rebounds and six assists. It was a bounce-back win for New York after losing to the OKC Thunder in their last game.

The Knicks improved to 26-14 for the season, still sitting in third place in the East standings behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics.
