Jalen Brunson's wife Ali Brunson drops touching picture tribute on Knicks star's 28th birthday

Jalen Brunson has had a busy offseason. Although he didn’t make it to the Olympic team that won the gold medal in men’s basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics, he has had a full plate. The New York Knicks star spent most of his time with his wife Ali Brunson who was pregnant with their daughter.

A month ago, the Brunsons welcomed Jordyn James Brunson to the family. The All-Star guard said in his podcast “The Roommates Show” with Josh Hart how tough it was to adapt to life with a baby. On Saturday, the growing family had another busy day celebrating his 28th birthday.

Jalen Brunson’s wife Ali Brunson went on Instagram to share a simple message:

“this year brought so many blessings, happy birthday j”

Brunson’s former longtime girlfriend turned wife couldn’t be any more accurate. The Knicks signed the lefty guard to a four-year, $156.5 million contract in July, a deal that many praised him for.

Had he waited until free agency to negotiate a new contract, he would have earned a more lucrative contract. Brunson reportedly gave up $113 million so the team could keep players and compete for a championship.

A little over three weeks after signing the contract, the Brunsons’ daughter arrived. Ali Brunson shared the couple’s happiness that day with an IG post:

“Jordyn James Brunson 🩷 07/31/2024”

A week after Jordyn James Brunson came into the world, more good news came to Jalen Brunson and his family. The New York Knicks honored him by naming him the team captain, a title left vacant since the 2018-19 season. Brunson became just the 36th player in franchise history to hold that distinction.

Ali Brunson’s message was simple, but the joy and happiness behind the message oozed with love and gratitude.

Jalen Brunson’s incredible performances in the 2024 playoffs for the New York Knicks likely gained him more fans.

He led the team to the Eastern Conference finals despite dealing with an injury-hampered roster. Brunson dragged the Knicks until an injury eventually cut his postseason short.
