Jalen Brunson spends the offseason with a New York Yankees "side quest"
Brunson had an impressive sophomore year with the New York Knicks last season. He averaged 28.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.7 assists as he helped his team reach the Eastern Conference semi-finals. They went deep into the playoffs despite missing some key players, such as Julius Randle, due to injury.
However, even with his efforts, Brunson was not named to the USA Men's National Basketball Team that's currently competing in the Olympics. This noninclusion allowed him to have more time to enjoy his offseason.
Brunson was seen at a New York Yankees game on Wednesday where he pitched the ball for an exhibition. He shared snippets of this "side quest" on his Instagram account.
The post featured a video of the Knicks star holding a baseball as he entered the field in front of a packed stadium. He then threw a pitch and stood with the players during the team presentations. The post also included photos where Brunson can be seen exchanging jerseys with shortstop Anthony Volpe and posing next to outfielder Aaron Judge.
