Tyler Kolek is a college basketball player born on March 27, 2001. He plays for the college team named Marquette Golden Eagles as a part of the Big East Conference. Prior to the Golden Eagles, Kolek played for the George Mason Patriots.

Hailing from Rhode Island, Kolek began his basketball career at the Cumberland High School and later transferred to St. George’s School. As a high school basketball player, Kolek earned multiple accolades such as Rhode Island Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year and led his team to a league championship.

Kolek transitioned to play college basketball at George Mason University where he was named the Rookie of the Year in the Atlantic 10 Conference. He transferred to Marquette University during his sophomore year as a college student. He made a name for himself as a facilitator, leading the league in assists in his 2nd year of college basketball. At the end of his junior year at college, Kolek was named Big East Player of the Year.

Kolek’s senior year in college saw him upgrade his level of play through his leadership and playmaking abilities. He established himself early in the year, when he was named Big East Player of the Year in the preseason. As a facilitator for his team, Kolek struck a career-high record and school record of 18 assists in a single game.
