The action for the College World Series finals between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Texas A&M Aggies starts today at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Vols come in as the favorites, trying to break an unlikely stat. Tennessee is looking to become the first No. 1 national seed since 1999 to win the national championship.

The arrival of the Aggies and Vols to the finals shows the dominance of the SEC this season. The 2024 College World Series only had teams from the ACC and SEC this year, with a clear dominance of the latter conference. Only one ACC school, Florida State, made it to the semifinals.

The game will air on ESPN. The announcing crew will be Karl Ravech (play-by-play), Kyle Peterson (color commentary), Chris Burke (color commentary), and Kris Budden (sideline reporting).

Will Tennessee's Hunter Ensley play during the 2024 College World Series?

Outfielder Hunter Ensley suffered an injury during Sunday's victory of Tennessee over North Carolina. He wasn't available for the semifinal against Florida State, but head coach Tony Vitello is expecting him to be available for the games against Texas A&M.

Here's what Vitello said to the press on Friday:

“Today will have a lot to do with it. I think he could go out there. It’s just a matter of match-ups and we feel good about our depth, too. There’s other guys who can play the outfield and play in different spots...
"We don’t want to push it, but at the same time, he’s our guy. We want him in the lineup in some capacity. But I think there’s a lot of time between now and the first pitch tomorrow. So hopefully, that will benefit him.”
