Texas A&M coach Jim Schlossnagle has become the talk of the town now that the College World Series has ended. Schlossnagle's Aggies finished as runners-up behind national champions Tennessee in this year's CWS finals after losing Game 3 of the series on Monday.

Although Schlossnagle appears to be a man in demand, he quickly shut down any rumors of potentially leaving Texas A&M. In his post-game press conference on Monday, the Aggies coach highlighted the hard work and sacrifices he made to lead the program when a reporter asked him about his interest in any specific job opening.

"I think it's pretty selfish of you to ask me that question, to be honest with you," Schlossnagle said. "I left my family to be the coach at Texas A&M. I took the job at Texas A&M to never take another job again and that hasn't changed in my mind."
"I gave up a big part of my life to come take this job, and I've poured every ounce of my soul in this job, and I've given this job every single ounce I can possibly give it. So write that," Schlossnagle added.

Earlier on Monday, the Texas Longhorns announced they were parting ways with David Pierce after eight seasons. There were also rumors stating that Schlossnagle might be the man to take over the vacant coaching job at Texas.

However, Schlossnagle seems to have cooled down any rumors of taking up any other job and firmly planted his roots in the Texas A&M program.
