Tennessee Volunteers vs. Texas A&M Aggies

The college baseball season will come to an end today as either the Tennessee Volunteers or Texas A&M Aggies will be crowned national champions. The two teams are set to play in a winner-take-all Game 3 of the College World Series Final.

Baseball analyst Ryan McGee shared a preview of tonight's matchup. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, the senior writer stated:

"It's going to be tense. I know that. And it's going to be hot. It's 100 degrees right outside of this window right here in Omaha. It was in the 90s yesterday, but they're talking about 101. It's a night game... The first two games were really tense. The first game was tight. Sunday's game was 1-0 until we got to the 6th, 7th, 8th inning, so it was super tight and tense and I think it will be that today, but I think the dam is going to break."

McGee continued:

"Both coaches have said, 'We are going to empty the benches, there's no more games after today'. The pitching is actually set up pretty nice for both with rested arms, so they're going to use everybody. If you see a pitcher walk a batter in even two batters, he's gone.
"They're going to yank him and throw someone else in there because the entire roster is available for the most part. It will start off tense, but this could end up being an 11-10 deal. The first two games were tight. This one I think could blow up."

Ryan McGee states who he believes has an advantage in Tennessee vs. Texas A&M matchup

During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Ryan McGee also talked about who holds an advantage entering tonight's matchup between the Volunteers and A&M Aggies, stating:

"We get to Game 3 a lot, but the percentage is that two-thirds of the time, the team that won the first game typically wins the series. If you're Tennessee, that means you've got a one in three shot. If you're Texas A&M, that means even though you lost yesterday, it's two out of three... I think the advantage is still to Texas A&M because of that, but Tennessee is still the No.1-ranked team in the country."
