The Texas A&M Aggies could not close out the deal on Sunday against the Tennessee Volunteers. Tony Vitello's men were able to force a third and final game at Omaha for the College World Series title.

Tennessee's starter Drew Beam came through for the Vols. He provided four innings in which he only allowed three hits, one of them a homer by Jace Laviolette for his only earned run of the day. Reliever Aaron Combs also stepped up to the task, with four scoreless innings of relief.

On the pitching mound, the Aggies had to go with an unorthodox reverse closer. Reliever Zane Badmaev opened up the game with the task of eating as many outs as possible to hand out a shorter game to fellow bullpen pitcher Chris Cortez.

Cortez had to take the game in the 2nd inning, with Badmaev making his first-ever start as an Aggie. Here's what Badmaev had to say about the experience after the game:

“It was amazing, it’s a dream come true. I’ve had a long road, that’s for sure. I’ve had a long road, a lot going on and I’ve had to fight a lot and go through a lot of adversity and it meant a lot to finally be on a stage that I’ve dreamed about as a kid.”

Expect to see Justin Lamkin tonight on the mound for Texas A&M.
