The Texas A&M Aggies will face the Tennessee Volunteers in Game 2 of the 2024 College World Series on Sunday. The awaited game will commence at 2 p.m. EDT at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Aggies beat the Vols 9-5 in Game 1 of the CWS finals and put themselves in pole position to lift the national championship. Texas A&M could seal the deal on Sunday, with a win, or have another opportunity to win the title on Monday if a Game 3 is forced.

As per reports, Justin Lamkin is expected to start as the Texas A&M pitcher against Tennessee on Sunday. The Aggies are yet to confirm their starter. After winning Game 1 of the CWS finals on Saturday, Texas A&M coach Jim Schlossnagle said he was unsure who would pitch for his team in Game 2.

Nonetheless, Lamkin has been the usual starter for the Aggies in Game 2 of most series and is widely expected to take the mound here. Lamkin has a 3-2 record this season, with 86 strikeouts and 20 walks in 63.0 innings pitched at a 5.00 ERA.

The eagerly awaited CWS finals Game 2 matchup between the No. 2 seed Texas A&M (53-13) and the No. 1 seed Tennessee (58-13) will be broadcast live on ABC. Fans can livestream the matchup on ESPN+ and Fubo.
