Born on May 6, 2002, Angel Reese has already tasted success by earning the title of the NCAA Most Outstanding Player in the Tournament in 2023. During her time at Maryland, Reese was ranked the No.2 overall player in the class of 2020. After her sophomore season, Reese transferred to LSU where she helped the team win the NCAA Championship in 2023.

Following her senior season in 2023-24, Reese was selected as the number 7th pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. Currently, as of August 2024, she is in her rookie season of the WNBA where she plays the forward position for the Chicago-based franchise.

Angel Reese College Journey

Angel Reese embarked on her collegiate basketball journey at the University of Maryland where she helped the team win the Big Ten Tournament in her freshman season. She was recognized as a five-star recruit by 247Sports and ESPN and was the No.2 overall in the class of 2020. But she entered the transfer portal in 2022 as she wanted a fresh start and wanted to work with head coach Kim Mulkey.

The reason behind his decision to enter the transfer portal is not disclosed, but she joined LSU Tigers in her junior season marking a potential shift in Angel Reese’s collegiate basketball journey. She set the record of 34 double-doubles in an NCAA single season.
