Khaman Maluach is a collegiate basketball center for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Duke Blue Devils. Originally from South Sudan, Maluach enrolled at NBA Academy Africa at the age of 14. His skill development was greatly aided by the renowned academy led by former NBA player, Luol Deng. He was recognized by NBA scouts throughout his tenure at the academny, which paved the way for his future at Duke.
Maluah, a five-star recruit who joined NBA Academy Africa in 2021, was regarded by 247Sports as the third overall talent and best center. He was a key contributor in South Sudan's 2024 Olympic qualification in Paris and won the NBA's Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Africa camp's MVP award in the summer of 2023.
