The San Diego State Aztecs represent San Diego State University in the NCAA Division I Basketball. The Aztecs have earned five Mountain West Conference titles, one WAC, and one PCAA championship. They have participated in 19 NCAA tournaments of which three appearances were in the Division II level. Their most recent championship appearance was in 2023 where they finished the tournament as the runner-up. Brian Dutcher is the head coach of the San Diego State Aztecs for the 2024–2025 season. Dutcher took the position in 2017, and his team finished as the runner-up in the 2023 NCAA tournament.
