Ashton Jeanty hails from Jacksonville, Florida, United States, and is a running back for the Boise State Broncos as of the 2024-2025 season. One of the finalists of the 2024 Heisman Trophy, he started his high school football career in Naples, Italy, before returning to the United States. After returning to the United States, Ashton Jeanty continued his high school career at Lone Star High School and became a four-star recruit according to 247Sports.

Ashton Jeanty joined the Boise State Broncos in 2022 after graduating high school and is in his third year with the Broncos in 2024. Throughout his career, Ashton Jeanty became a two-time MW Offensive Player of the Year in 2023 and 2024. He competed in the 2022 Frisco Bowl and the 2023 Peach Bowl with the team. More recently, he became the recipient of the Mountain West Conference Football Championship Game Offensive MVP Award in 2024.

Ashton Jeanty began his high school football career at Naples Middle/High School, Italy. Throughout his time in Naples Middle/High School, he ran for 1,200 yards and made 21 touchdowns. After moving back to the United States, Jeanty attended Lone Star High School in Texas, rushing for 1,843 yards and scoring 41 touchdowns. Jeanty was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing basketball and track and field besides football. He was named a four-star recruit by 247Sports and the no. 42 prospects in Texas by 247Sports.

Ashton Jeanty is enrolled at Boise State University and plays for the Boise State Broncos football team. As a freshman for the Broncos, he played all 14 games and made two starts. He averaged 5.3 yards per carry and surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark twice. In his sophomore year, he had an average of 6. 12 yards per carry which was the 9th in the history of the program in a single season. Jeanty was the first FBS player to register 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards, since 2019. As of the 2024 season, he led the FBS in rushing yards and scrimmage, touchdowns, and total scoring.
