Coach Prime, Deion Sanders, went on a roll on X after Travis Hunter's victory in the Heisman race on Saturday. Hunter secured 2,231 points, being a favorite for the trophy from all the regions. Sanders replied to and reposted tweets from several personalities, one of which was Skip Bayless, former ESPN and FS1 analyst and commentator.

Skip Bayless tweeted out in support of Ferrante Harris, Hunter's mom, on Saturday night:

"If possible, Travis Hunter's mom just upstaged him with all the wisdom she just spoke so beautifully."

Deion Sanders replied to this by saying:

"Love ya Skip!"

Ferrante got pregnant with Travis at a young age. Many regarded her pregnancy as a mistake. She dropped a strong message during the Heisman ceremony addressing this:

"I love the person that he is, but I'm also grateful that because what they said was my biggest mistake turned out to be the biggest blessing. So there, that just goes to show you, you can have... you can make mistakes, but that does not define who you are."

Ashton Jeanty was second favorite to win the Heisman on Saturday night. The Boise State running back helped his team end on a 12-1 record, ranking third for the playoffs bracket. He fell short of only 214 points. After the ceremony, Jeanty said:

"I really felt like I should have walked away with the award, but you know, kudos to Travis for winning but it's simple as that. Work harder, go harder, there's a lot more to come. This isn't, you know, the end, this is just the beginning, so I just got to do that much more to get the things that I want."

Last year, Jayden Daniels appeared on 90% of ballots when he won the Heisman. This year, Ashton Jeanty appeared on over 95%, surpassing even Travis Hunter. Though he fell short, Jeanty’s widespread recognition reflects his impact and consistency, earning admiration nationwide. Despite not being crowned the champion of the Heisman race, Jeanty is now being called "People's Champ".
