Deion Sanders is a collegiate football head coach for the Colorado Buffaloes. Sanders is a former professional athlete who has been known for his remarkable careers in both, the NFL and MLB. Sanders played 14 seasons in the NFL with teams like the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens. Sanders played nine seasons as a baseball outfielder in the MLB for teams like the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants. Sanders is a College Football and Pro Football Hall of Famer. Following his retirement, Sanders began his coaching career. Starting in high school, he began as an assistant coach to help the offensive coordinator at Trinity Christian School from 2017 to 2020. In late September 2020, Sanders was announced as the head football coach for Jackson State University. Throughout his career at Jackson State, Sanders’s team won the 2021 with a record of 11-2 and also won the SWAC Championship. In December 2022, he became the head coach for the University of Colorado in the Pac-12 Conference and won the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 2023.

Deion Sanders had a remarkable career as a coach and achieved many accomplishments. He guided the Jackson State Tigers to the SWAC championship in 2021. The team finished the season with an 11–2 record, which was a record season in the program's history. Deion helped Jackson State claim two consecutive SWAC championships, from 2021 through 2022. In December 2022, Sanders was announced as the head coach for the Colorado Buffaloes and led the team to a 4–8 record in his first season.
