The Bulldogs played 121 college football seasons from 1921 to 2024. The Georgia Bulldogs won the national championship three times and conference championships fourteen times, as of 2024.

Kirby Smart is the head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs, as of 2024. Smart is a former football player who played as a defensive back for the Georgia Bulldogs from 1995 to 1998. He then played for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) in 1999. Following his career as an NFL player, Kirby Smart was a part of the coaching staff for teams like the Georgia Bulldogs in 1999, the Florida State Seminoles from 2002 to 2003, the LSU Tigers in 2004, the Georgia Bulldogs once again in 2005 and the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2007 to 2015.
Kirby Smart took charge of the Georgia Bulldogs from the 2016 season after he was selected as the head coach on December 6, 2015. Since then, he led his team to win two back-to-back national titles in 2021 and 2022. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs won two SEC titles in 2017 and 2022. He also led the Bulldogs to win seven SEC East Division titles. Kirby Smart has also become a three-time SEC Coach of the Year in 2017, 2021, and 2022. Smart also won the George Munger Trophy in 2017.
