What is the rivalry between Iowa and Wisconsin called?

The rivalry between Iowa and Wisconsin is called the Iowa-Wisconsin Football rivalry. These two teams have carried on their rivalries for 98 years but mostly for the Heartland trophy. The name of the trophy comes from the fact that both the states of Iowa and Wisconsin are part of the Midwest in the United States. This area is also called the Heartland of the country, as per Hawk Central. Since both teams engage in a very competitive rivalry, the athletic directors of both these colleges decided to introduce a trophy that would symbolize the efforts of the players in these games. Accordingly, the Heartland trophy was first presented in 2004 as per Rival Trophy. Com. Notably, it was Iowa who first gained ownership of the trophy in 2004. Wisconsin would go on to get their first ownership of the trophy in 2006.
