So far, Jahmal Banks has had a spectacular career as a wide receiver. He was an Honorable-Mention All-ACC in 2022 and was named into the Brook Berringer Citizenship Team and Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2024. Jahmal Banks was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He was born there on October 2, 2001. His mother is Kristie Martin, and Banks has a sister Kyerra Martin, who played volleyball for Bowie State. Upon his high school graduation, Banks committed college to the Wake Forest University. There, he played 6, 14, 12, and 12 games respectively from 2020 to 2023.

Banks and his teammate, Taylor Morin, had the most touchdown receptions among all returning players in the conference for 2023. His nine touchdown receptions in 2022 rank sixth most in the program's history. Banks was named in 2023 Preseason Athlon First Team All-ACC, 2023 Preseason Phil Steele Third Team All-ACC, and was a 2022 All-ACC Honorable Mention.

After entering the transfer portal, Banks made a switch to Nebraska Cornhuskers in 2024. There, he started every game of the season and caught 15 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown. At Huskers, Banks dons the number four jersey. Standing 6 ft 4 inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds, Banks uses his impressive stature effectively in matches. He is currently taking graduate classes at Nebraska and has already completed his degree work at Wake Forest in communication.
