Kirk Ferentz is a college football coach who has entered his 26th year as the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Under his leadership, the Iowa program has made consistent appearances in bowl games and championship matches. Ferentz started his head coaching career at Maine Black Bears where he held that position for three consecutive seasons. Ferentz also worked as an offensive line coach for NFL teams, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.

He returned to Iowa in 1999 and is now the program’s longest-tenured football head coach. Ferentz has developed the program into a competitive force in the Big Ten Conference and has a 197-119 record with the Hawkeyes. Ferentz was recognized with the Big Ten Coach of the Year four times in his career. He was also named the Woody Hayes and Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year in 2015. In his 25-year tenure with the program, Ferentz has led the Hawkeyes to two Big Ten Championships and three Big Ten West Division titles.
