Deion Sanders, also known as Coach Prime, put the NFL world on alert as the Tennessee Titans parted ways with general manager Ran Carthon after two rocky seasons. Team owner Amy Adams Strunk praised Carthon’s football acumen in his statement, but Tennessee’s 9-25 record over his tenure left much to be desired.
The Titans' dismal 3-14 finish in 2025 earned them the No. 1 overall draft pick — and a fresh search for leadership. But the real fireworks began when the Colorado coach reacted to the news on social media.
“Wow,” Sander wrote on X.
Fans wasted no time flooding the post with speculations.
“They need to hire you and draft your son,” one fan wrote.
“You reposting GM moves in the NFL…. Oh, YOU Coming 👀,” another fan wrote.
"Coach Prime, we’ll still take Shedeur or Travis proudly," one X user tweeted.
Several other fans chimed in with their comments.
"KEEP YOUR SON IN COLLEGE!!!!!! TITANS ARE NOT A REAL ORGANIZATION!!!!," another fan commented.
"You on the way to Tennessee Deion with Shedeur ?" a fan said.
"Don’t leave the Buffs pls," one fan pleaded.
The focus turned to Shedeur Sanders, Deions’ son and star quarterback at Colorado. Some fans hoped for a Tennessee reunion between Sanders and his son, given that the Titans hold the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, which is set for April.

Coach Prime and his entourage won't attend the 2025 NFL draft
The Colorado coach has already revealed his plans for the 2025 NFL draft. Instead of attending the Lambeau Field in Green Bay event, Coach Prime and his entourage, including sons Shedeur and Shilo and 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, will stay in Boulder to celebrate with the local community.
"You won’t see us," Sanders said on "The Rich Eisen Show." "We want to celebrate with our people—our folks, our wonderful student body."
Shedeur, too, backed his dad’s statements on his "2Legendary" podcast. The Colorado QB said:
“I think we're doing it in Colorado. I'm not going. I don't know too many details but I know it's gonna be in Colorado.”
The football world had mixed reactions to Deion's plans for the big event. Some praised the Buffs coach for celebrating with close ones, while others were frustrated at missing the iconic moment of Shedeur and Hunter walking the draft stage.
