"We're not here for the festivities": Deion Sanders on mentality before Alamo Bowl

Deion Sanders prepared his boys to win the upcoming Alamo Bowl against the BYU Cougars on Dec. 28. The Buffaloes missed the playoff berth owing to the defeat against Kansas in Week 13. Now, all that remains is to end the season with a victory against the Cougars.

"Well, the purpose is to win the game," Sanders said in an interview. "It's like the main course. You know, the appetizers and all other stuff. So we're happy to go through what we need to go through to get to what we need to get to. But the young men know what we're here for. We're not here for the festivities. We're not here for all of the things, the tangibles. We're here to win this football game."

Deion Sanders and his boys flew off to San Antonio Sunday in a luxurious jet that was chartered to the Buffaloes.
