"We are the guys that you’ll remember": Colorado's Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig makes huge remarks on setting the new bar under Deion Sanders

Colorado Buffaloes finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, turning around the program which went 1-11 two years ago. This massive change came after Deion Sanders joined in 2023. Coach Prime changed the mentality of the players and brought in star players like Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders and LaJohntay Wester to the program.

Safety Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig is positive about Colorado's future as he said:

"So we didn't get a chance to play for a Big 12 championship or a national championship, but we still want to see that happen here. We still want these guys to go do something. I talk to the newcomer freshmen, the early enrollees guys all the time, just because they're building something here. We're really building something. We are the guys that you'll remember that started this."

"I just make sure I pass that standard down," he added. "It's very important ... It's a difference for me because the guys that came in in December, like the early enrollees, I can just tell they're different.

"I can tell it's a different mentality...these guys working their b**t off in practice already and only had like two or three practices. So it's going to be great. It's especially important to make sure you keep passing it down."

Silmon-Craig recorded͏ 64 solo t͏ackles, 24 assists, nine tackles ͏fo͏r ͏loss, two sacks, three pass deflections, two fum͏b͏le recoveries and one ͏for͏ced fum͏ble o͏v͏er ͏12 games. Hi͏s standout ͏mome͏nt was a 95-yard fumble ͏r͏et͏u͏rn for a͏ to͏u͏ch͏down ͏against U͏CF͏, ͏which the Buffaloes wo͏n ͏48͏-21.
