Colorado wide receiver Travis Hunter has delivered a standout performance this season. He recorded 14 touchdowns, 1,152 yards across 92 receptions on offense, whereas 21 solo tackles and 11 assisted tackles on defense. In a recent interview with Kevin Negandhi on ESPN, Hunter was asked if he ever considered winning the Heisman. Here is how he responded:
"I won't say I dreamed about it a lot, you know, but this season, you know, they've become so, so real, like the award is here," Negandhi said. "So I definitely, I definitely feel it. It's a little pressure, but you know, I still went out down work."

"It would mean a lot to me because of my family," Hunter said. "You know, I have, I'm the oldest out of all my siblings. So it's going to mean a lot to them. And I know it's going to mean a lot to me."

Travis Hunter opens up about how Deion Sanders's lessons helped him get over his anxiety and confidence issues:
"Believe. You just got to believe. You got to believe in yourself. You know, that's the main thing he instilled in me.....sometimes it get hard," Hunter said. "It's a lot of pressure. There's a lot of people got expectations on you and you just got to go out there and work."
"Just believing in coach prime and what he instilled in me. I think I did a great job. It's great to have a coach like that with his credentials, be in your ear and give you that confidence."
Coach ͏Prime has transfor͏med the Buffaloes program since he arrived in 2023. Under his ͏leaders͏hip, t͏he Buf͏fs made͏ a re͏ma͏rkable turnaroun͏d, improving ͏f͏rom͏ a͏ 1-11͏ re͏co͏rd in 2022 to a ͏9-3 fin͏ish in 2024.
Colorado's la͏st strong season was in 2016 un͏der ͏Mike MacInty͏re, when they went 10-3 but fell to Oklahoma State in the A͏lam͏o Bowl.
