Travis Hunter plays as a cornerback and wide receiver for the Colorado Buffaloes in college football. Hailing from Suwanee, Georgia, United States, he is a veteran college football player, who started his career with the Jackson State Tigers in 2022. However, he remained with the team for only the 2022 season. After the 2022 season, Deion Sanders, the former head coach of the team left the team to join the Colorado Buffaloes. Accordingly, Travis Hunter transferred to the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023.

Throughout Travis Hunter's college football career so far, he participated in 21 games and has achieved 1873 receiving yards, 19 touchdowns, along with 149 receptions. His football career has seen him being the recipient of Second-team All-Pac-12, Paul Hornung Award, and Consensus All-American Award in 2023. He was also named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, earned First-team All-Big 12 honors in both offense and defense and won the Lott Trophy in 2024.
