5. SRI LANKA has another double of scoring the highest T20 score when they made 260/6 against Kenya in the 2007 edition and dismissing their opponents for the lowest total when they dismissed Netherlands for 39 in the 2014 edition.

6. MAHELA JAYAWARDENE of Sri Lanka has the most runs scored in World T20 with a tally of 1016 over the 5 editions.

7. VIRAT KOHLI of India has the highest tally of runs in a single edition of the World T20 when he amassed a tally of 319 in the 2014 edition eclipsing Tillakartane Dilshan’s record of 317 in 2009 and also averages the most in T20 with 72.00 over the two editions he has figured in.

8. MS DHONI of India has captained the most in World T20s. He has captained his team on 28 occasions in the World Cup alone.

9. KUMAR SANGAKKARA and MAHELA JAYAWARDENE of Sri Lanka joined Jehan Mubarak of Pakistan (2009) and Joginder Sharma of India (2007) by featuring in their last T20 match in World T20 finals victory.

10. LASITH MALINGA of Sri Lanka became the first bowler to captain his side to a World Cup win across all formats when he lead Sri Lanka to the World T20 crown at Dhaka against India in the 2014 edition.
