One of the most consistent sides across all formats, India secured their second T20 World Cup title on Saturday, June 29, in Barbados. They prevailed over South Africa by seven runs to end their 11-year-long ICC trophy drought.

As far as ICC trophies are concerned, the Men in Blue emerged as joint-winners of the 2002 Champions Trophy and won the 2007 T20 World Cup after their famous 1983 World Cup triumph. India then won the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy, and finished as runner-ups in the 2014 T20 World Cup and 2023 ODI World Cup.

The flamboyant batter, Yuvraj Singh was a part of the 2002 Champions Trophy, which saw India and Sri Lanka emerging as the joint-winners. He garnered 65 runs in two innings, with a top score of 62 against South Africa.

The southpaw slammed 148 runs in six innings of the 2007 T20 World Cup at a staggering strike rate of 194.73. He slammed six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad and played an astounding knock of 70 off 30 in the semifinal against Australia.

Yuvraj was named as Player of the Tournament in the 2011 ODI World Cup for his contribution of 362 runs and 15 wickets in nine innings.

#2 Virender Sehwag

'Nawab of Najafgarh' was the leading run-scorer in the 2002 Champions Trophy with 271 runs in five innings at an average of 90.33, with a top score of 126.

In the 2007 T20 World Cup, Virender Sehwag garnered 133 runs in five innings at an average of 28.80. He scored a crucial 68 off 52 against England to help India qualify for the semifinal.

The 2011 World Cup saw him slam 380 runs in nine innings, with a top score of 175 off 140 against Bangladesh.

The former Indian captain led the Indian side to three ICC trophies: the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.

In the 2007 T20 WC, MS Dhoni garnered 154 runs in six innings, with a top score of 45 against a must-win game against South Africa.

The 2011 WC campaign saw Dhoni score 241 runs in eight innings, with an unbeaten 91* coming in the final against Sri Lanka.

In the 2013 Champions Trophy final, India secured a thrilling five-run victory over England. Dhoni batted in only two innings, scoring 27 runs at an average of 13.50.

One of the finest batters of this generation, Virat Kohli won his third ICC tournament on Saturday. Previously, he was part of the 2011 ODI WC and 2013 Champions Trophy squads.

In the 2011 WC, Kohli accumulated 282 runs at an average of 35.25, with a top knock of 100* coming against Bangladesh.

The veteran batter contributed 176 runs at an average of 58.66 in the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Although he was going through a rough patch in the 2024 T20 WC, Kohli slammed 76 off 59 against South Africa in the final to help India lift the World Cup.

The 2007 T20 WC saw him take seven wickets in as many games at an economy of 7.91.
