No other team has been as successful as Australia in the history of the ODI World Cup. After all, they are the most decorated cricket team, having lifted the 50-over silverware as many as five times. No other nation has won it more than twice.
Building on their maiden title in 1987, the golden generation of Australia created history as they won three consecutive ODI World Cups in 1999, 2003 and in 2007. It was truly a remarkable achievement before Michael Clarke led Australia to their fifth tournament win at home in 2015.
On that note, let us discuss Australia's all World Cup wins in detail.

Australia ODI World Cup win - 2015
Australia’s last ODI World Cup win came eight years ago when they beat their trans-tasman rivals New Zealand in the summit clash in Melbourne on March 29, 2015.
Their victory in the final was set up by eight wickets that Mitchell Johnson (2/20), Mitchell Starc (3/30) and James Faulker (3/36) took among them.
Australia lost just one encounter in their entire campaign and trounced Pakistan and India in the quarter-finals and in the semi-finals, respectively. Despite none of their batters ending up in the list of top five highest run-getters, the Aussie unit worked in unison and outclassed every other team in every department.
