West Indies power-hitter Chris Gayle reportedly holds the record for the highest individual score in IPL's history, as of February 2025. Playing for RCB, he smashed an unbeaten 175 off 66 balls against Pune Warriors India on April 23, 2013. The match was held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. His innings included 13 fours and 17 sixes. Gayle reached his century in just 30 balls, the fastest in IPL history.
Brendon McCullum’s 158 off 73 balls for KKR in IPL 2008 takes the second spot. His knock in the first-ever IPL match remains iconic. In third place, Quinton de Kock scored an unbeaten 140 off 70 balls for LSG in IPL 2022. He built a record 210-run stand with KL Rahul. AB de Villiers’ 133 off 59 balls for RCB in IPL 2015 comes next. His explosive innings against MI was a masterclass. KL Rahul’s 132 off 69 balls for KXIP in IPL 2020 is the highest by an Indian. This knock puts him in fifth place.
