IPL 2025 Results
The IPL 2025 Result will be available after the conclusion of every Indian Premier League 2025 match. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule of the 18th season in February 2025, with the first match to be played on March 22.
In the opening match, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.
The IPL 2025 will be played in a similar format to last season. Each team is scheduled to play 14 league games, 7 home and 7 away.
In the IPL, each team plays twice against those in their group and once against select teams from the other group. The top four teams advance to the playoffs, where the top two face off in Qualifier 1, and the remaining two compete in the Eliminator. The winner of Qualifier 1 advances to the final, while the loser gets another chance to make it to the final via the Qualifier 2 competing against the Eliminator winner. The tournament features 74 matches, with plans to expand it to 84 in the next two seasons.
How will the IPL 2025 results of the matches be declared?
The IPL 2025 results of all matches, including the league phase and playoffs, will be revealed at the end of the match. The team that scores the most runs will ultimately be declared the winner of each game.
In case a match ends in a tie, a Super Over will be played to determine the winner.
A team that wins the match will earn two points and the losing side won't get any points. If a match doesn't take place due to inclement weather, both teams will share a point each.
The points table of IPL 2025 will be updated once all 10 teams play their first match. You can check the IPL 2025 points table on Sportskeeda.
The top four teams with the most points will qualify for the playoffs. If two or more teams finish with the same points, then the team with the better net run rate (NRR) will proceed to the playoffs.
The top 2 teams on the points table will play Qualifier 1. The winner of Qualifier 1 will progress to the IPL 2025 final, with the losing side getting another chance to reach the final in Qualifier 2.
Teams who finish in the third and fourth places on the points table will lock horns in the Eliminator.
In Qualifier 2, the winner of the Eliminator will play the team that lost the Qualifier 1. The team that loses the Eliminator will crash out of the tournament.
The winner of Qualifier 2 will face the finalists in the final of IPL 2025.
