New Zealand has sent a 15-man squad to compete in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and Pullman Hotel in Auckland was the venue to announce the team as reported by Times of India. According to ICC's official website, Mitchell Santner, Tom Latham, Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Will Young, Lockie Ferguson, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, Matt Henry, Will O’Rourke, Nathan Smith, Michael Bracewell, Ben Sears, Daryl Mitchell, and Kane Williamson are selected to represent the Kiwis in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

As per ESPN Cricinfo, Devon Conway, Tom Latham, Kane Williamson, and Will Young were selected as the batsmen for the squad. Tom Latham and Devon Conway will be a wicketkeeper-batsman for New Zealand.

Mitchell Santner (Bowling All-rounder), Michael Bracewell (Batting All-rounder), Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell (Batting All-rounder), Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra (Batting All-rounder), and Nathan Smith are the all-rounders of the 2000 ICC Champions Trophy-winning team.

Bowlers

Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Will O’Rourke, and Ben Sears will be leading the bowling action of New Zealand in the competition. Henry, O’Rourke, and Sears will be participating in their debut ICC tournaments, based on Times of India.

Mitchell Santner, the bowling all-rounder and 24th ODI captain of New Zealand will be leading the squad in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, as per the official website of ICC. He started playing for the national team in 2015 and has been serving as the T20 captain for the team since 2024. He has previously represented New Zealand in the 2017 Champions Trophy where he took 1 wicket and scored 25 runs in 3 matches, as per ESPN Cricinfo.

New Zealand’s coach for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

According to ESPN Cricinfo, Gary Stead has been appointed as the head coach of New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025. He was the ICC World Test Championship-winning coach in 2019-2021. He was also the runner-up coach for the team in the ICC Cricket World Cup (2019) and ICC Men's T20 World Cup (2021). Stead played five test matches for New Zealand in 1999 where he scored 278 runs with an average of 34.75, scored two half-centuries, and a top score of 78.

New Zealand’s coaching Staff for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Luke Ronchi has been appointed as the batting coach, Jacob Oram as the bowling coach, and James Foster as the fielding coach of New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025, as per ESPN Cricinfo. Times of India reported that Rangana Herath was also appointed as the specialist spin coach for the squad. Tommy Simsek is the physiotherapist and Chris Donaldson will be the Strength and conditioning coach of the team.
