ICC Champions Trophy Pakistan's squad

Pakistan is one of the hosts and a competitor in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The T20 World Cup champion (2009) has been playing in the ICC Champions Trophy since its inaugural edition. Pakistan, the defending champions, are hosting the competition for the first time. The former world champions (1992) reached the quarter-final in 1998, semi-final in 2000, 2004, and 2009 respectively. However, they did not reach the knockout stage in 2002, 2006, and 2013.

Pakistan’s squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Based on the official website of PCB, The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-player squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on January 31, 2025. Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, Tayyab Tahir, Faheem Ashraf, Khushdil Shah, Salman Ali Agha, Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Khan, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been selected by the PCB for the ICC CT 2025. The PCB can make any changes until 11 February.

Batsman

As per ESPN Cricinfo, Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Tayyab Tahir, and Usman Khan are in the list of batsman in the ICC CT 2025. Rizwan is selected as a Wicketkeeper Batter in the squad.

All-rounders

Salman Agha, Faheem Ashraf (Bowling all-rounder), Kamran Ghulam, and Khushdil Shah are the all-rounders in the Pakistan squad.

Bowlers

The Pakistan Cricket Board has selected Abrar Ahmed (Spinner), Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi to lead their pace attack for the tournament.

Pakistan’s captain for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper batter is the captain of Pakistan in the ICC CT 2025. He was appointed by the PCB as a captain of the side in white ball cricket in October 2024. He started playing for the national side in 2015 and has been a runner-up player in the T20 World Cup and Asia Cup in 2022.

Pakistan’s coach for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

As per PCB's official website, Aqib Javed has been appointed as the head coach of Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He has been serving as the head coach of Pakistan in all formats since last year. The former men's National Selection Committee member of the PCB played for Pakistan in 1998 as a fast-medium pace bowler. He played 22 test matches and 163 ODI matches for Pakistan where he scored 101 and 267 runs respectively. The former world champion team member (1992) took 54 wickets in the test and 182 wickets in the ODI for the team.

Pakistan’s coaching Staff for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

According to PCB's official website, Naveed Akram Cheema (team manager), Hina Munawar (team operations manager), Azhar Mahmood (assistant coach), Mohammad Masroor (fielding coach), Drikus Saiman (strength and conditioning coach), Shahid Aslam (batting coach), Cliffe Deacon (physiotherapist), Abdul Rehman (spin bowling coach), Irtiza Komail (security manager), Syed Naeem Ahmad (media and digital manager), Talha Butt (analyst), Dr Wajid Ali Rafai (team doctor), and Sergio Basil Mullins (masseur) has been selected as the coaching staff for the team.
