After Chris Gayle had to take time off from fielding due to an injury, he couldn’t come out to open the batting because as per ICC rules, a player can only bat for the period of time he spent out on the field while his team were bowling.

“We want Gayle,” shouted the fans in Bengaluru. For them, he was a home boy because of his endeavors with Royal Challengers Bangalore. And seeing him padded up and ready to bat, and yet not being allowed to do displeased them to no measures.

Gayle wanted to bat so badly that when a West Indies wicket fell, he was about to step on the pitch when Ian Gould intervened and pushed him back to the dressing room in the funniest fashion. The people around were seen smiling at this hilarious sight.
