India will take on England in the second semifinal of the 2024 T20 World Cup at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, June 27. The knockout clash will begin at 8:00 PM IST (10:30 AM local time). While India topped Group 1 in the Super 8 round, winning all their three matches, England finished second in Group 2, with two wins and a loss.

The Men in Blue put in a terrific performance in their last Super 8 match against Australia in St Lucia. Asked to bat first by the Aussies, India put up 205-5 on the board as skipper Rohit Sharma led the way with 92 off 41 balls. In reply, Australia were held to 181-7 despite Travis Head's 76 off 43 as Arshdeep Singh claimed 3-37 and Kuldeep Yadav 2-24.

England sealed their place in the semis with a thumping 10-wicket win over the United States. Bowling first, the Englishmen cleaned up the opposition for 115 in 18.5 overs and then chased down the score in 9.4 overs. Incidentally, England had hammered India by 10 wickets when the sides clashed in the 2022 T20 World Cup semifinal in Adelaide.
