India continued their undefeated streak in 2024 T20 World Cup with a phenomenal victory against Bangladesh. Hardik Pandya's all-round contributions guided India to a 50-run victory against their neighbors.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The decision did not work in their favor as India reached 196/5 in 20 overs. Chasing 197, Bangladesh could only score 146 runs.

Hardik Pandya deservedly won the Man of the Match award for his all-round brilliance in North Sound. The Indian vice-captain first smashed a magnificent half-century off 27 balls while batting at number six. His knock comprised four fours and three sixes.

Later in the match, Pandya got rid of Litton Das in the powerplay overs. His all-round brilliance ensured that India rose to the top of the Group 1 points table in the Super 8s round of 2024 T20 World Cup.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant got off to decent starts at the top of the order for India. Suryakumar Yadav started his inning with a six but lost his wicket on the next ball. All-rounders Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya took the team's score past 160 with a 53-run fifth-wicket partnership. Pandya's blitzkreig in the slog overs boosted the total to 196/5.

Rishad Hossain and Tanzim Hasan Sakib bagged two wickets each for Bangladesh. Veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan took the crucial wicket of Rohit in the powerplay.

In response, Bangladesh got off to a great start, with Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan adding 35 runs in 4.2 overs. Pandya broke the stand by dismissing Das caught out. After that, skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto tried his best to take Bangladesh closer to the target by scoring 40 runs. However, his efforts ended in a losing cause.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled another extraordinary spell and ended with figures of 2/13 in four overs. Kuldeep Yadav took a three-wicket haul, while Arshdeep Singh dismissed two Bangladeshi batters.
