Inviting nine other countries, Team India will host the ICC Men's ODI Cricket World Cup 2023. The much-awaited tournament will begin on October 05, with the summit clash scheduled to take place on November 19.

KL Rahul has played in only one edition of an ODI World Cup. He was part of the Indian team at the ICC Men's ODI Cricket World Cup 2019, held in England and Wales.
While Rahul is currently India's first-choice middle-order batter, he played seven innings as an opener at the 2019 event as Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.

KL Rahul has thus far scored only one century in the ODI World Cups. His ton came against Sri Lanka at Headingley in Leeds during the 2019 edition. It was India’s last league game of the tournament and KL Rahul clobbered 111 runs of 118 balls. His innings came in a run-chase after Sri Lanka scored 264/7 in the first innings.
In the run-chase, Rahul was involved in a 189-run opening partnership alongside Rohit Sharma, who also scored 103 runs in that innings. India went on to win the game by 7 wickets.

KL Rahul’s first fifty during an ODI World Cup came in a crucial encounter against Pakistan. Batting first, KL Rahul opened with Rohit Sharma and the duo added 136 runs for the first innings. While Rohit was impeccable with his knock of 140 runs, Rahul scored 57 runs off 78 balls. India eventually won the game by 89 runs.
Rahul made his second ODI World Cup fifty against Bangladesh at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The opening duo of Rohit and Rahul were once again on top of their game as the duo put up a 180-run stand while batting first. Rahul hit 77 runs in 92 balls, while Rohit hammered 104 runs as India piled up 314/9 in their overs before winning the game by 28 runs.
