Kyle Jamieson showcased how he can handle the bat to blow away some meaty strikes as well. He has contributed on multiple occasions down the order for New Zealand. However, things didn’t go as RCB and Jamieson would’ve liked. The fast bowler struggled throughout the tournament and played in 9 matches, with 9 scalps to his name. He even gave away quite a lot of runs in his spells which made him sit on the bench for the rest of the games.
In the next auction, he opted out of playing. Come 2023, RCB had already released Jamieson, but this time he was up to appear in the biggest cricket league across the world. Chennai Super Kings had their eyes on him and they bought Jamieson for INR 1 crore but a lower-back injury ruled out the New Zealander from playing the entire IPL.
